About From Birth To Eternity

From Birth To Eternity Personal Histories is owned and operated by Larry Pfister of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Born and raised in the Garden City, he moved to the Vancouver area in 1980 before returning in 2010. Since 1975, Pfister has had stories and photos published in dozens of magazines and newspapers, edited a number of magazines himself, produced more than 20 feature videos, produced and hosted a cable television program along with creating and managing many websites for himself and others.

In that time he has interviewed hundreds of individuals and produced promotional material such as sponsorship proposals, press releases and feature videos for many companies and individuals.

This makes Pfister unique in this industry, for here you have a single person who can do basically all of the work himself. From shooting and editing the photos and videos right through to producing the final packaging and everything in between. Many others require a large, and often quite expensive, team that could include audio engineers, graphic artists and more.

Much of this work came in the motorsport industry where Pfister captured a number of awards for both his work and service. He won the prestigious Car Craft Magazine photo contest in 1975, then in 1984 shot an image chosen as the Canadian Press Sports Photo of the Year. In 2004 Pfister was named the National Hot Rod Association’s Northwest Division Person of the Year.

Pfister has also done work for manufacturing firms, environmental companies and more. Recently he has been assisting Super Services For Seniors in Victoria, learning first hand how to deal with the many members of our aging population.

His volunteer efforts include shooting photos for the Greater Victoria Art Gallery and a mentor to video students at the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society. He was also the videographer for the 2010 Bike to Work Week in Victoria and The 2010 Gorge Tillicum Community Association Canada Day Picnic.

Today Pfister continues his motorsport work with a number of different groups in an effort to help preserve the rich history the sport has in the Pacific Northwest.

Another interest is military history, his knowledge of which makes for compelling interviews with veterans.

Larry Pfister combines a unique combination of experience, artistic ability and technical expertise to work with you to put together a personal history you will be proud to pass on to future generations.

Motorsport Larry Pfister is one of the most experienced motorsport journalists and photographers on the west coast. Producing and supplying video, photos and stories to facilities, sanctioning bodies, sponsors and competitors, Pfister has experience working with everything from corporate sponsors to ‘little guy’ racers.

He was webmaster of a west coast motor sport site Horsepower Heaven from 1996 to 2011, and performed the same duties for Mission Raceway Park for a number of years.

Military History A longtime military buff, Pfister has extensive knowledge and experience from photographing both WW II aircraft and modern high speed jets to covering the final cruise of the famed battlewagon USS Missouri.
